BGL car and commercial vehicle insurance products get five-star rating from Moneyfacts
•    Top marks went to insurance products by BGL’s own brands Budget Insurance and Dial Direct and those of its partner brands M&S Bank, RAC, Lloyds Bank and Post Office Money, Geoffrey Insurance and Zenith
BGL’s insurance products have once again received the badge of quality from independent industry experts.

In its annual assessment of the car and commercial vehicle insurance market, Moneyfacts, a leading provider of personal finance data, awarded a range of BGL products five-star accolades.

Moneyfacts data is used throughout the UK financial sector and its ratings are awarded to those products that offer the most comprehensive range of standout features, setting them apart from the rest of the market.

Five stars were awarded to motor insurance provided by BGL’s own brands, Budget Insurance and Dial Direct, as well as the products of partner brands Geoffrey Insurance, RAC and M&S Bank. Dial Direct and Budget’s commercial vehicle insurance also received full marks, as did van insurance provided by corporate partners Lloyds Bank and Post Office Money and commercial vehicle insurance by Zenith Insurance.

The ratings consider all policy features, as well as the competitiveness of cover limits, product delivery and customer service. The scores are intended to give consumers extra confidence that their insurance policy offers all the protection they require.

Mark Townsend, Managing Director of BGL Motor and Home, said: “This is a fantastic achievement. I know how much effort goes in across the board to deliver brilliant products and service for our customers, but it’s great to have external verification that our insurance is best in class.”

Meanwhile BGL’s life insurance brand Beagle Street was a runner-up for Life Insurance Provider of the Year in the Moneyfacts 2021 Consumer Awards, a commendation that recognises product excellence and outstanding customer service.
