Leading digital distributor of insurance and household financial services BGL Group has been named Personal Lines Broker of the Year at the prestigious British Insurance Awards held at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 4 July. One of the biggest nights of the insurance calendar, the awards, run by Insurance Post magazine, see over 2,000 members of the industry gather every July to celebrate their achievements.
BGL provides home, car and van insurance to millions of customers across the UK through its Insurance Distribution and Outsourcing division (IDO), home to own brands Budget Insurance and Dial Direct and affinity business Junction, which supplies insurance through 14 household name partners.
The Personal Lines Broker of the Year award recognises IDO’s achievements in a year which has seen the business develop a wide range of customer initiatives across its own and partner brands, including digital transformation, speech analytics technology, process innovations and rewards programmes. Customer feedback for the changes has been overwhelmingly positive, with one customer commenting:
