BGL Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna McEntee to lead BGL’s Frontline business, which operates own insurance brands Budget Insurance and Dial Direct. Budget Insurance offers a range of flexible car, van, home and life insurance products, primarily through price comparison sites such as comparethemarket.com, while Dial Direct offers premium car, van and home insurance. Between them the two brands have reached over four million customers since 2001.
Anna, who joined BGL in 2008, is a consumer marketing expert with experience in operations and pricing. She has led the introduction of Budget Insurance and Dial Direct’s customer rewards programmes which, together with a range of customer-focused initiatives, have seen the brands’ NPS scores (a key measure of how happy customers are with the service they are offered) double over the two years to June 2017.
Anna will now focus on the future strategic direction of both brands under the Frontline umbrella, leading the in-house team. Her appointment marks the conclusion of a period of strengthening and consolidation of the senior leadership team in BGL’s Insurance Distribution and Outsourcing division over the last six months which has seen further internal promotions, with Mark Townsend (previously Managing Director, Frontline) appointed to the new role of Chief Operating Officer of the division and Ali Crossley (previously Customer and Development Director, Junction) appointed as Managing Director of BGL’s Junction partnerships business and BGL Customer Services.
