BGL Group supports local young people
BGL group announces three year sponsorship with the Paul Nixon Foundation
Peterborough-based BGL Group, the major financial services provider, has announced a three year sponsorship deal with the Paul Nixon Foundation, which runs sports-based programmes for young people from challenging backgrounds in Leicestershire.
Every year, the Paul Nixon Foundation provides a mixture of sports coaching, business skills and work experience to a group of young people, aiming to get them into the world of work through sport.
Ex-England wicket keeper, Paul, set up the Foundation in 2014 after retiring from a career which saw him lift three T20 titles and two County Championships for Leicestershire as well as representing England at T20 and One-Day International level, winning a series in Australia and New Zealand before starring in the World Cup in the West Indies.
Paul Nixon said: “It’s great to have BGL on board as a sponsor for the Foundation. Their support will help us to reach more young people and I’m really looking forward to working together over the next three years.”
BGL’s Chief Executive Matthew Donaldson said: “We’re delighted to be working with Paul and his Foundation. The work that they are doing has a real effect on the lives of so many young people and shows them that, through sport, they can achieve great things. We look forward to working with the Foundation to maximise its impact.”
