We caught up with Ash Raynor to ask him what it’s like to be an ambassador for BGL. This is what he told us…
“I joined BGL a little over two years ago as a Life Consultant. I actually applied for a different job but after finding out that role had already been filled, one of the recruiters called me and asked me if I would like to join BGL Customer Services as a Life Consultant working in the contact centre in Peterborough, and so my BGL journey started.
“I remember my first day – it was so nerve wracking but everyone was so friendly, those nerves soon disappeared.
“One of the main reasons why I said yes to BGL is the opportunity for career progression. I was a Customer Manager at RSA before I made the over to BGL and over the last two years I’ve progressed to Operational Trainer and now Ambassador, which means I get to perform all the training and monitor calls and web chats for quality and outcomes.
"BGL is a great place to develop your career. Team leaders and Coaches do their best to put things in place for you to progress. I feel valued as an employee and enjoy that Life Insurance is completely different to what I’ve done before (I used to be a holiday rep in Lanzarote!).
"There are so many different brands here and the customers are completely different purchasing out of choice and not necessity.
"My role as Ambassador means I get to interact with so many different people every day. I listen to their feedback and look to implement changes where I can. For someone looking to start a career here at BGL, it really is the best place to start.”
