As a Technology Risk Assurance Manager, you will be recognised as a risk and/or audit professional who can gain respect and credibility that can influence change and ensure effective risk management is in place across technology functions enterprise wide. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive and operate a second line technology assurance function that provides a proactive assessment of the technology risk and control environment in place across the enterprise. This function will also undertake planned reviews of specific technology areas, providing an independent assessment of risk and making any improvement recommendations. 

You will be developing and delivering against an annual ‘technology assurance plan’, informing and advising the CIO on technology risk exposure across the Group, detailing the effectiveness of controls in place and providing  recommendations to enhance mitigation. 

You will own and maintain the group wide Technology Risk and Controls Catalogue and the Technology Key Risk Area Framework document as well as driving the executive reporting on assurance activity on behalf of the CIO, including updates for the executive Risk Committee.

What will it take to be successful as a Technology Risk Assurance Manager?

•A technology generalist with knowledge of processes and operating practice (i.e. ITIL / IT Service Management experience)

•Excellent analytical capability with the ability to methodically evaluate information and develop recommendations

•Experience in Technology Audit and/or Technology Risk Management and experience in developing controls that mitigate risk

•Awareness of Technology Risk Management Frameworks (i.e. CobIT, RiskIT, NIST)

•Ideally hold an ISACA accreditation (CISA/CRISC /CGEIT), or have a willingness to undertake 

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing senior stakeholder relationships
