What’s the challenge?
The challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to accelerate Compare the Market’s brand growth and drive effectiveness of all brand marketing activity, using insights to inform future plans and strategies to lead initiatives to achieve business objectives and meet consumer needs.
In this role you’ll work with multiple agencies, internal teams and a range of stakeholders, leverage insight and information from across the business to continuously evolve our communications and media strategy.
You’ll use your best in class analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to understand complex problems and business challenges, create action plans to capitalise on opportunities (or mitigate challenges) across paid, earned and owned media, working with a range of colleagues across the business to deliver against these.
In addition to this you’ll be a key driver of creative excellence and media effectiveness plans across an increasingly sophisticated communications model, ensuring that we leverage our consumer propositions to maximum effect.
This is a key role in the Comms and Campaign Planning function and, in addition to campaign planning team, important stakeholders will include our commercial finance, central planning and data & insight teams, as well as a number of external agencies.
What will it take to be successful?
With your background in strategic planning and brand media, you will be comfortable being responsible for the governance of multi-million pound budgets and also acting as a key point of contact for a range of stakeholders.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
• An analytical capability and deep knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of marketing effectiveness
• An ability to develop and manage a best in class effectiveness programme using appropriate analytical techniques
• Responsibility for the governance of budgets into the tens of millions
• Experience creating and delivering strategically aligned media plans
• How you have used key drivers of brand growth to influence activation plans
• Engagement with senior level executives in a small to mid-sized organisation
• A positive can-do attitude and be highly resilient.
