Within our Insurance Distribution and Outsourcing division (IDO), we have a Business Technology (BT) function consisting of ~250 people, loosely organised into portfolios each of which consists of several cross-functional agile software delivery teams. As our Senior Manager – Operation Insights, you’ll sit within the TechOps strand within BT taking responsibility to build out a world-class monitoring and alerting system that helps IDO understand how our 10 million customers interact with our systems in real-time.

 

In short, you’ll be solving our business challenges through the below activity:

  • Creating a place where forecasting outcomes based on current conditions becomes the norm
  • Helping delivery teams to understand how their software performs in production through our “Build and Run” mentality
  • Ensuring strategic focus on our annual goals
  • With others, delivering a capability that allows BT and the wider IDO to proactively help customers have the best experience
 

What will it take to be successful?

The success of our business strategy has been driven by key behaviours that will come naturally to you. For example, some of our best work has been with team members who possess the following:

  • A leader in the field of analytics, you'll have experience both drilling into the details and casting a vision for others to follow
  • You will have experience working across departments, listening to the needs people have and influencing how they think about MI
  • You will have experience in technical teams, helping delivery teams to "build and run" the software they write, feeding in MI requirements at project inception
  • You will have been a part of change programs, capturing the hearts and minds in driving lasting change in large groups of people
