What’s the challenge?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Manager, Financial Insights to join our Commercial Finance team at Compare the Market. This brand-new role for our business will work closely with our Associate Director of Commercial Finance in providing and driving value-adding financial and strategic insight and high-end modelling capability and capacity to our Senior Management Team and other Key Stakeholders across the business.
As the Senior Manager, Financial Insights you’ll engage on several regular as well as ad hoc assignments covering a wide range of areas such as strategic, competitor, market, commercial and M&A.
You’ll develop a clear understanding of our business model, how it’s successful, it’s strategic and operational strengths as well as future opportunities. With your in-depth understanding of commercial levers and external markets and your experience in competitor and market analysis, you’ll provide market and competitor level modelling by working with business partners in Commercial Finance and the wider business to drive key insights as well as support to regular forecasting and strategic exercises.
You’ll need the ability to develop hypotheses and then test and learn through analysis to challenge and expand our understanding of the CTM business. Your strategic insight will be supported by data driven analytics and you’ll select the right tools and analytical techniques for a given business problem.
What will it take to be successful?
As a qualified accountant with significant PQE experience, you’ll also demonstrate:
• You’re an experienced financial / strategic modeller
• Substantial experience in Competitor & Market analysis
• M&A experience
• Your ability to make the complex simple
• You’re a strong team player with a proven record of delivery
• Strong influencing skills to ensure the best decisions are taken
