What’s the challenge?
We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join Compare the Market into a brand new role for our business where you’ll support our Insurance product vertical in providing detailed, actionable and insightful reporting together with value driving decision support.
Mirroring the growth of our Product Team, this roles will be pivotal in supporting a new team of Product Associate Directors in driving CTM strategies and influencing strategic decisions across some of our most mature products, meaning that you’ll be in a high-profile position joining an evolving culture with a fast pace of change.
You’ll be a proactive Business Partner to the Product Owner/ Director and ensure that the business has a clear understanding of and insight into the current trading performance, development and profit performance of their products. As the subject matter expert, you’ll understand everything to do with the competitor landscape and maintain a detailed grasp of the internal performance, explaining as much of the ‘why’ as possible. You’ll draw knowledge from all elements of our business together with external sources to forecast implications for the future and how to optimise performance moving forward.
You’ll also collaborate closely within the wider finance team and across our business. Ensuring the Product Owner receives high class support in developing business cases and strategic product development including the development of proposition roadmaps and PIR’s.What will it take to be successful?
As a qualified accountant with significant PQE within a commercial finance function, you’ll also demonstrate:
• Highly analytical capability and you’ll be comfortable with multi-dimensional trading models
• People management experience, with the ability to effectively develop individuals to their full potential
• Excellent communication skills. You’ll know how to share complex information with non-financial stakeholders
• A curious, inquisitive and highly proactive nature – this role requires a relentless drive to seek out insight and answers
