As a Quality Engineer, you’ll proactively champion quality throughout the delivery lifecycle while collaborating with your team to deliver high quality system change. As well as having a hands-on test role you’ll engage, support and drive continuous improvement within your team ensuring testing and quality is at the forefront of all change.
Your role will allow you to plan, design and execute testing including overseeing and contributing to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks and test suites.
What will it take to be successful as a Quality Engineer?
The role requires you to take accountability for quality by defining the scope of testing and overseeing the quality of delivery. As a Quality Engineer you may be working independently in teams and you’ll need to influence other technical disciplines in quality practices and processes. You’ll also play an active role in supporting and growing capabilities across the wider quality community.
Experience in the following is essential:
Hands-on software test planning, design and execution within an Agile working environment including both exploratory and automated testing
Ability to engage and collaborate with different technical disciplines
Ability to balance multiple work streams within a fast pace, demanding environment
Functional and non-functional testing
