We have an exciting opportunity to join our Data Team at ComparetheMarket.com as a Senior Quality Analyst. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the BI solutions developed are delivered to a high quality standard; thoroughly tested and validated, monitoring and alerting set up when applicable.
You’ll be contributing to the evolving team’s culture of experience, innovation, enthusiasm and passion and drive best practices within the team to help build a culture of quality. You’ll be working with the latest big data technologies to deliver innovative BI solutions and to energise a next generation platform. You will build a good understanding of the data products being delivered, defining and executing tests to ensure deliverables are released to the required level of quality.
Stakeholder management and building relationships will be essential in helping you define acceptance criteria and ensure that all delivery went through proper testing. Your QA experience will be invaluable, championing best practices within the team to help build a culture of quality whilst continuously improving the effectiveness, coverage and testing on all our Data products.
What will it take?
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to analyse, model and interpret data
• Root cause analysis and problem solving experience
• Understanding of QA best practice within the data context
• Strong data querying ability in MS SQL, MySQL or Postgres
• Experience in testing
• Experience in an agile development team developing data heavy solutions as an analyst
• Sound understanding of data warehouses, ETL, tables, schemas, Store Procs and Views, etc.
• Drafting, interpreting, and implementing quality assurance standards and procedures for the organization
