As a Pricing Modelling Analyst, joining the first online alternative to the traditional world of Life Insurance, you will build pricing models for Life Insurance policies, delivering our profit targets for BGL Life via optimised, segmented pricing and increased model sophistication. This role is a 12 month FTC maternity cover.
In this role, you’ll build advanced statistical pricing models, and support the design, development and delivery of new life insurance pricing propositions. You’ll be part of a highly skilled team and being a team player is a prerequisite. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Pricing in BGL Life, you’ll perform well under demanding timescales to deliver new, accurate statistical pricing models using (e.g) Generalised Linear Models (GLM), decision trees, segmentation and stochastic analysis.

What will it take to be successful as a Pricing Modelling Analyst?
- You are ambitious, a forward thinker with a strong academic background, and with a graduate, or postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or another analytical subject
- You are rigorous, quality-conscious, with a desire to learn and apply new analytical approaches
- You will flourish by working with like-minded people who inspire you to be creative and forward thinking in order to deliver influential outcome
- You will be proficient with a range of packages (e.g. R, SQL, SAS, Excel or similar)
- There will be no limits to your ability of using analytical techniques, pushing the boundaries and wanting to deliver exceptional commercial outcomes
- You are confident, self-motivated, with strong communication skills
