BGL Group are looking for a Pricing Manager to join our IDO (Insurance Distribution & Outsourcing) Division to add to a highly skilled and highly motivated pricing team.


You’ll take the lead on pricing outcomes and use your analytical flair, commercial experience and trading expertise to improve pricing performance of some of the UK’s leading insurance brands.


You’ll work with some of the leading experts in insurance pricing, complementing a high performing team with your own expertise and pushing them forward through leadership and the promotion of innovative and creative thinking. Motivated by the challenge of deriving and owning pricing decisions, your ability to use advanced analytics to make effective pricing decisions in a fast moving market will be second nature to you.


Your commercial acumen will enable you to convince stakeholders at some of the UK’s biggest brands to adopt your trading strategies, measuring their short and long term impact. Your knowledge and experience means you understand that successful change requires attention to detail, understand of regulatory issues and have the drive to see things through to a successful conclusion.


What will it take to be successful as a Pricing Manager?

  • Highly numerate, with a degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or another analytical subject
  • Substantial work experience in a commercial environment (preferably within insurance)
  • Expert in one of SQL, R, SAS or equivalent for analytical purposes on large datasets.
  • Proven track record of using data driven analytics to create solutions to business problems
  • Ability to influencing stakeholders to implement your analytical ideas 
  • Demonstrable experience of achieving substantial business value from these implementations
  • Rigorousness and quality-consciousness, with a desire to apply and learn new approaches and stretch analytical boundaries
