We’re growing...and so is our Commercial Pricing Team! BGL Group are looking for Pricing Analysts to join our ambitious and creative team in our IDO (Insurance Distribution & Outsourcing) Division.


You’ll be using your analytical flair and trading expertise to improve pricing performance of some of the UK’s leading insurance brands that we partner with to provide products and services to.


As someone who is motivated by the intellectual challenge of using analytics, you’ll have a direct effect on pricing decisions in a fast moving market, as well as convincing stakeholders at some of the UK’s biggest brands to adopt your trading strategies. You will be working with some of the leading experts in insurance pricing, who will help you develop your analytical and software skills even further.  


You’ll understand that successful change requires attention to detail, in terms of conception, implementation and evaluation.


What will it take to be successful as a Pricing Analyst?

  • Someone who is highly numerate, with a degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or another analytical subject
  • Some work experience in an analytical role where you will have demonstrated your ability to generate business value, or even your first job after leaving University
  • Rigorousness and quality-consciousness, with a desire to learn new approaches and stretch analytical boundaries
  • Confidence and self-motivation with strong communication skills and the ability to clearly convey your ideas to stakeholders
  • Experience using packages such as SQL, R, SAS, Python, etc. to solve analytical problems
