As a PR Manager for comparethemarket.com, you will manage and enhance our reputation by executing PR plans as part
of an integrated marketing communications approach for the breadth of products and reward
propositions we offer.
It’s a really exciting time to join comparethemarket! With
developments in our customer loyalty offering and our brand growing, you will
be pivotal in driving forward our PR strategy - advising the business on where
additional digital value can be realised across all forms of content. You’ll be
a point of contact for media enquiries and manage a tight process for ensuring
issues affecting our brand are managed effectively.
You will be key to our success in driving levels
of internal and external stakeholder engagement to support our business vision,
strengthening our purpose and brand identity.
You’ll be diligent and hardworking, familiar with managing your own
activity from start to finish with a strong focus on delivering results.
What will you be
responsible for as a PR Manager?
Reporting into the Senior PR Manager, you will be responsible
for the management and execution of PR plans to support business objectives.
Delivery of all elements of PR activity
ensuring integration with other marketing channels
Liaise with our internal stakeholders to
ensure product and service propositions are allocated the required level of PR
Oversight of retained PR agencies to
deliver news and campaigns, managing allocated budget and certifying that a
good return on investment is achieved for PR activity
and evaluation of PR activity, answering Press Office queries as and when
required, as well as PR administration
Management of social media channels (with
particular focus on our Twitter - @comparethemkt), amplifying our PR
initiatives through the digital space
What will it take to
Excellent written and proofreading skills, with
experience in drafting briefing documents for spokespeople
A proactive and adaptable nature, being able to
reprioritise tasks according to business needs and spot the potential for
crisis management and appropriate escalation
Strong commercial awareness and a good understanding
of Financial Services/Insurance or a regulated environment
Understanding of digital and social channels and
their role within PR
Identifying news hijacking opportunities by being
across the external communications agenda
A solid understanding of Public Affairs activity
Excellent administrative organisation and skills to
include PP, Excel, Word, as well as excellent attention to detail
