What’s the challenge?
Our Design team are an essential part of Marketing at Compare the Market, supporting our teams in producing best in class marketing materials at ferocious speed. We’re looking for a pragmatic, problem-solving designer who can bring innovative ideas to the table, adapt them and meet stakeholder requirements all whilst upholding our high creative standards.
You’ll be working within a small internal design team and with a broader network of external creative and marketing agencies, UX, Product and Marketing teams, collaborating and finding the best customer solutions together.
Every day will be different – you could be video editing, designing web content, creating PowerPoint decks, building digital display banners, designing email headers or photo-shopping meerkats. You’ll need to roll up your sleeves and be a strong team player, whilst also acting as a brand guardian – working closely with our brand team to ensure all creative output is brilliant, not good. You’ll be based in our Peterborough office, but might find yourself at our London office, at an agency or working from home.
You’ll need to be commercially minded and understand both our customer and our performance, and then seek to optimise our creative appropriately. You’ll want to test and learn to inform your future creative decision making. This is a unique design role, probably unlike any you’ve had before! What will it take to be successful?
It goes without saying that you’ll be a great designer - creative, open to feedback, and always keeping up to date with new trends in design. You’ll be a master of the Adobe Suite, and hopefully have experience of using Premiere/ After Effects, Sketch and Indesign. You’ll be comfortable both artworking and scamping. If you’ve got some understanding of UX and Marketing that would be great too.
But you’ll also need to be a strong relationship builder - a team player, with great communications skills and a collaborative attitude. Pace is important at CTM and so you’ll need to be proactive and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines, ensuring you’ve interrogated a brief and you’ll feel comfortable feeding back and representing the Design team in meetings About BGL
