We’re looking for someone like you within Group Finance to action finance support for our financial consolidation and forecasting modelling system Anaplan, escalating if required to meet deadlines. Your main responsibility will be to maintain Anaplan models in line with changes required by the business and support the development of new Anaplan models as part of initiatives and projects. This is the ideal position for someone with a true thirst for learning and is willing to invest time, energy and enthusiasm to develop in their finance career.
This is an exciting time to join BGL as we continue to develop processes to drive effectiveness and efficiency within Finance. You as the Financial Analyst will provide first line support for the Anaplan system and conduct build changes as part of project initiatives and BAU. You’ll develop strong relationships with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and ensure models stay relevant, including sharing technical updates with Anaplan users to inform and inspire process improvements. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain exposure across all finance systems providing admin support and holiday cover when necessary.

Here you’ll operate as a competent analyst and SME, directing and encouraging users towards goals, and collaborate with the wider finance teams. Along with experience and knowledge, we need someone who has the ‘get up and go’ and can really make a positive impact.
What will it take to be successful?
• Experience of data manipulation such as writing complex logical formula within spreadsheets, writing VBA macros or SQL queries
• Educated to A Level standard (Maths is required)
• Previous experience of working within a finance team
• Naturally creative, inquisitive and proactive to seek out technical knowledge
• Good communication to present complex technical information to a finance audience
• Part qualified accountant with an appetite to study for accountancy qualifications (desirable)
