BGL’s Insurance, Distribution and Outsourcing division have an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a busy and successful team on a FTC 3-6 months. This role would provide a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to manage a small team of finance professionals whilst remaining heavily involved within the creation of accurate, consistent financial reporting and forecasting.

As a Finance Manager you will take full ownership of the DISC Operations team in which you will play an integral part managing the critical processes impacting customers whilst supporting the team leader by implementing key controls when required. As part of the management team you will help to coach and mentor colleagues, leading by example to drive positive professional engagement throughout the team.

You will manage the production and presentation of accurate and timely management account information, which will be largely biased towards balance sheets and cash flow related reports. Alongside these reports you will assist with the production and consolidation of divisional forecasting. For various parts of this role you will need to work collaboratively with other areas of the business to understand key financial metrics and how this affects cashflow modelling scenarios for this division of BGL. 

Although previous experience within Financial Services/ Customer Transactions would be beneficial, we are open to considering applicants from varying levels of experience.

What will it take?

• Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Need to have strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate output to all levels
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills including time management and task prioritisation
• Must have the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Experience in Audit or a Risk and Control environment (desirable)
• Previous team management experience (desirable)
