As our Desktop Services Analyst, you’ll join our Group IT Operations team as dedicated support for our White Collar Factory (WCF) in our London office. Our WCF office namely houses our technical teams who require support in order to reduce the risk of commercial business impact with appropriately serviced desktop kit.
 As a digital distributor of insurance and household financial services, we are utilising technologies to smarten our working practices and communications between our multiple sites. We operate Lifesize video conferencing and work from both Windows and Apple applications and products.
Some day to day responsibilities include:
  • Practical experience of Video Conferencing
  • Ensuring the desktop asset registers are always up to date and accurate for all hardware
  • Working on adhoc projects and delivering within the agreed timescales
  • Provide assistance and support to the wider IT Operations teams
  • Closure of raised tickets via the call logging system within the agreed Service Level Agreements
What will it take?
To be successful in this role, you’ll have great customer handling, diagnostic and analytical skills to ensure that all reported issues are recorded and resolved to the required service levels.  You should be confident to assume responsibility of day to day resolution and management of reported desktop/device issues.
Areas of experience:
  • Proven experience in an IT support role at a competent level
  • Supporting Apple Devices
  • Experience of dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues to an exceptional level
  • Microsoft qualifications would be beneficial
  • ITIL Certification would be beneficial
  • A keen interest in technology trends and innovation
Knowledge and skills:
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent ability to work on own or within a team
  • Very good working knowledge of desktop operating systems including Apple and Windows products and applications
  • Very good at adapting to an ever changing IT environment
  • Confident decision maker
  • Good procurement knowledge
  • Basic understanding of SCCM
Whilst you’ll be based in London, you’ll collaborate with your IT Operations colleagues based in Peterborough and on occasion will be required to be in Peterborough on an ad-hoc basis.
