What’s the challenge?
Compare the Market have an exciting opportunity for a Data Security Manager to join a dedicated Data Security team within a forward thinking and well-resourced business division. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Data Security function who operate CtM Data Loss Protection (DLP) tooling, and report directly into the Head of Data Security.
As an expert in your field the Data Security Manager will create and enhance a hands-on working process for the team to investigate alerts through tooling that monitors, secures and locates data across ComparetheMarket (CTM). These alerts will be carefully managed to ensure the successful investigation and closure of all incidents, escalating where necessary to the Head of Data Security. In the role you will work across the business on DLP investigations and take responsibility for the continuous improvements of DLP procedures and guidelines in-line with governance expectations and regulations.
In role you will form part of the management team within this division where your input will help form the direction of CTM’s DLP strategy. You will need to produce and operate control metrics for the Head of Data Security to accurately reflect KCIs to the CISO and to the board in the form of both monthly and quarterly reports. Within your oversight role, you will highlight any gaps in DLP coverage and create plans to address such gaps working with peers across the wider business to implement these plans.
What will it take to be a successful Data Security Manager?
Proven experience leading security or technology teams
Experience as an Information Security professional working within a complex data rich organisation
Experience in developing and embedding new management controls and processes
Proficient presenting/ reporting to senior leadership and deputising at a senior level
Experience of working in an agile enterprise environment
Proven data privacy/ security risk management experience within a data focused organisation
Experience of incident management within security ops
