Are you passionate about creating clear, well-written content that can inform, inspire and entertain a variety of audiences? As a Content Specialist for BGL Group, you’ll be working across a huge range of projects and channels, creating and delivering content and campaigns for both internal and external audiences. As a creative thinker, you’ll have the opportunity to translate complex ideas into plain English while maintaining accuracy.


Your days will be varied: in a single day you could spend time planning how to deliver a new initiative to colleagues, commissioning a survey for a consumer PR campaign and writing a corporate press release to launch a new product or partnership. As a Content Specialist you’ll have the ability to be versatile in tone, style and format from day one.


What will it take to be successful as a Content Specialist?

  • A real flair for both writing and editing, with exceptional attention to detail and correct use of grammar
  • A good understanding of the UK media landscape, including national, regional, trade and consumer press
  • The ability to prioritise and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of commissioning video content is desirable
  • The ability to build strong relationships across the business, working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous experience in a journalism, communications or marketing role
  • An undergraduate degree (preferably in Journalism, English or a related subject) is desirable
