We have an exciting new opportunity to join comparethemarket.com as an Associate Director in our Risk and Compliance team. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Risk and Compliance professional to join a market leading, exciting and customer centric digital business. You will report to the Risk and & Compliance Director, a member of the Executive Team, to provide leadership across the team to embed a Risk and Compliance strategy and culture that supports the business ambitions.
 
This is a critical 1st line of defence role to partner  with the Executive and extended leadership team, providing challenge and support in both disciplines of Risk and Compliance. This will involve responsibility for translating that support and challenge into operational activities for the wider Risk and Compliance team.  
 
You will work closely with the Director to develop an enterprise wide view of the Risk and Compliance profile for CTM, including Executive business units, strategic delivery plans, and product/commercial roadmaps. The role is very much forward looking, and designed to help the business ensure it is set up to succeed through clarity of thinking in managing it’s risks, and ensuring we continue to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
 
What will it take?
  • Deep experience of best practice Risk and Compliance management in Financial Services, combing an understanding of Operational, Regulatory and Conduct Risk
  • Proven track record of a highly collaborative approach, with excellent business partnering and stakeholder management across business units and Group functions
  • Excellent communicator and influencer at board, executive and senior management level
  • Strong understanding of the FCA regulatory regime and compliance landscape, and preferably across non-financial breadth product areas 
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully operating in a growth and fast paced business
  • Pragmatic and proportionate, able to balance commercial objectives and customer outcomes
  • Able to navigate between themes/trends and detailed analysis
  • Ability to support and challenge others constructively
