A day in the life of...
I am currently working as a Junior Delivery Manager within the Rewards team at Compare the Market.
Whereabouts do you sit within the organisation? Who do you report to?
I report to the Senior Delivery Manager within the Rewards team, but we are ultimately part of Compare the Market Tech in Shoreditch.
What kind of skills do you need to be effective in your role?
There a number of skills needed to be effective in my role, the two key areas I would prioritise are stakeholder management and organisation skills.
How did you get into delivery, and where might you go from here?
I joined the Group through the BGL Graduate Scheme
. I wanted to try a new role and delivery was of real interest to me, Compare the Market gave me the opportunity to move into this area. From day one, I really enjoyed the role and felt it complemented my skill set.
Do you have any advice for people who want to work application delivery?
Read around the subject as much as possible, understand team dynamics, delivery strategies and people management.
