Compare the Market's first ever Employer Brand Executive
I’m responsible for inspiring and driving the Compare the Market (CTM) tech community, across Peterborough & London, to become employee brand ambassadors. My role directly contributes to the delivery of the attraction strategy for CTM.
 
I partner with key stakeholders across the business to create meaningful campaigns and deliver Compare the Market Tech's content & events activity to raise brand awareness. This includes organising regular networking & recruitment events and facilitating sponsorship projects, to raise the profile of our talented tech team who are behind Compare the Market and the MEEKAT MOVIES app.

What kind of skills do you need to be effective in your role?

Strong communication skills are key, as is the ability to prioritise your workload and embrace change when it comes to working with technical people. You have to be a people person with lots of proactivity & energy and importantly, have a willingness to learn.

Tell us about a typical working day…

Every day is different, which is great! It’s fast paced, I work with many different teams and business areas. My workload and the projects I get to work on evolve all the time. 

How did you get into HR/brand, and where might you go from here?

I started working in a recruitment agency and made the move in-house to BGL Group a few years later. Working in the Talent Acquisition team for CTM Tech, my role was instrumental in the development of our presence in community activity including meetups and tech events. This increase in activity naturally evolved into what became a new role for CTM; Employer Brand Executive. I really enjoy my role, it’s brand new so there’s lots of scope to develop and adapt to the business needs.

What do you love about your job?

Working with and getting to meet so many extraordinary and passionate people, I learn new things everyday, which is amazing!
