Hi, I’m Frankie and I’m a member of the eCommerce team in Frontline, IDO (our Insurance Distribution and Outsourcing pillar). I’m originally from the sunny heights of Stafford in the West Midlands but I’ve spent the last four years at university in Sheffield. I started by studying BSc Geography at the University of Sheffield. However, despite my love of rocks, I then chose to do a masters in International Marketing (MSc) at Sheffield Hallam. After a crash course in various disciplines in marketing I graduated this year with the Chartered Institute of Marketing Regional Prize.
So why did I choose BGL? The meerkats are probably what first drew me to the BGL Group but after I started doing research it was their CSR and ‘great place to work’ schemes that made me really want to work here. BGL work closely with charities such as the Prince’s Trust and Built IT and fully support any employee involvement by match funding. In terms of the actual job, BGL are funding me to complete the industry-wide recognised CIM qualification and the ability to rotate around the businesses means I get the best exposure to a wide array of marketing disciplines.
Aside from the great experience, I love the sense of Grad community. Completely upping sticks and moving to the other side of the country can be daunting to say the least but having a group of likeminded people in the same boat has kept me sane. My team also push me to experience as much as I can; I’ve already been on a training course in the Shard with Jellyfish Digital and met all of the agencies we work with face to face.
As for interests, I’m a horror film junkie, dog lover and enjoy pretty much anything that involves being outside. I’m currently training for a half marathon in aid of Pancreatic Cancer Action and next on my bucket list is the Grand Staircase Hike in Utah.
