Budget Insurance wins Customer Service Award!
Budget Insurance has been awarded a 'People's Choice' Award at the Institute of Customer Service's 2012 awards event.
The People's Choice Awards are based on the views of 26,000 UK consumers, which form the basis of the UK Customer Satisfaction Index. This respected consumer index asks respondents to rate their satisfaction with the service they receive from UK organisations. It has been running for more than four years and reports its findings twice a year.
A spokesperson for Budget Insurance said: "It is extremely gratifying to receive this award. While customer care has always been very important to the Budget brand, over the last 12 months we have invested significantly in all aspects of the customer service we deliver. We have already been rewarded with greater customer loyalty, but it is a fantastic boost to the team to be given a national award recognising how far we have come."
Frontline recognised at UK Entrepreneur Awards
Frontline accompanied more than 200 UK Business Leaders in London on 8 November 2011 to celebrate the Market Gravity's UK Entrepreneur Awards. These awards recognise enterprise and innovation within large UK based companies. Budget Life, which is Frontline's instant guaranteed acceptance life product, was nominated in the Best New Corporate Venture category. Despite being beaten by Co-operative Energy, they were selected as a finalist in this category.
Paul Borrell, Senior Manager – Marketing, Frontline said: "With stiff competition, we did brilliantly to reach the final four. The judging panel was very positive about our achievements and the way Frontline has introduced a distinctive new proposition in to a mature market."
Fusion Sunderland scoop NECCA awards for the fifth year
Fusion Sunderland attended an awards ceremony on 4 November 2011 to receive their trophy as runners up in the Contact Centre of the Year category. The team were delighted to receive a Special Judges Award for Overall Best Outsourcer. This award was presented for the first time, and recognised Fusion's approach to delivering outstanding Customer Satisfaction. Kim Wood, Post Office dedicated Advisor; Nicola Wilson, Advisor and Paul Munday, Team Leader, were shortlisted for other awards.
Sarah Burns, Head of Site, Fusion Sunderland said: "It's fantastic to receive such recognition in what is an ever expanding industry in the North East. With now over 160 contact centres employing over 85,000 people, to receive a special Judges Award for Overall Best Outsourcer is a truly great achievement. This award recognises the outstanding work the Fusion contact centres have undertaken in delivering exceptional service to our customers."
BGL Group shortlisted in 2011 Employee Benefits Awards
BGL's my wellbeing programme was a finalist in the category for 'Most Effective Healthcare and Wellbeing Strategy' (for organisations of over 1,000 staff), and saw us shortlisted alongside organisations including American Express and The Telegraph Media Group.
my wellbeing has been extremely successful since its introduction in March 2010. Initiatives introduced range from mini health checks, osteopathy, at desk massage and wellbeing sessions.

Business in the Community's Awards for Excellence are the most credible, influential and established awards for responsible business. The Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner recognises and celebrates those companies who have shown innovation, creativity and a sustained commitment to corporate responsibility.
Fusion Coventry shortlisted for Business of the Year at Coventry Telegraph Business Awards
Fusion Coventry was shortlisted for 'Business of the Year' at Coventry Telegraph Business Awards in May 2011.
Fusion Coventry named Employer of Choice
The coveted title of Large Employer of the Choice was scooped by Fusion Coventry at an award ceremony hosted by Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council last week. The awards recognise organisations in the area that are developing good employment practices and work life balance, health and wellbeing initiatives in the workplace. Judges described the submission as 'an excellent entry'.
BGL Group rises 17 places in Britain's 250 Largest Mid-Market Private Companies
The BGL Group is one of the largest mid-market private companies in Britain, according to the latest Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table.
The annual table, now in its sixth year, ranks Britain's 250 mid-market companies by sales based on their latest available audited accounts – in BGL's case, the 2008/09 financial year.
The BGL Group, one of Britain's leading insurance brokers with in excess of 3.5 million customers, was rated 80th on the list, up 17 places from last year. The Group first entered the table in 2007 at 227th position and has climbed since to 175th and then 97th. BGL is now higher up the table than Prêt A Manger, Manchester United Football Club, and Harvey Nichols department stores.
BGL's Group Communications wins 'Best Publication' Gold Award for 2008/09 Annual Results and Review Document
BGL Group scooped a Gold Award at the Chartered Institute of PR's East Anglia Pride Awards. Group Communications was awarded 'Best Publication' for the 2008/09 Annual Results and Review document. Judges commented: "This is an excellent document and one to be extremely proud of."
BGL scoops two business awards

It was another successful awards night for BGL at the Peterborough Evening Telegraph Business Awards on Friday 19 November. BGL was the only company to win two awards at the glitzy ceremony. Ex-Olympic athlete, Roger Black, presented the Contribution to the Community and the Large Business of the Year awards to representatives from BGL.
The awards, held at The Exec in the East of England Showground, focus on many aspects of business, such as people development, customer care and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Fusion Sunderland wins 'Commitment to People Development' award at City of Sunderland College Business Awards
Over the past two years, over 150 Fusion Advisors have voluntarily enrolled on NVQ courses as part of their personal development. For this, Fusion has won an award in recognition for its 'Commitment to People Development'. The figure represents around a third of all contact centre Advisors who have taken up the opportunity to gain an NVQ in one of three areas; Contact Centre Operations, Customer Services and Telesales.
Fusion's Gavin Coates named 'North East Team Leader of the Year'
Fusion Sunderland's Gavin Coates has won the Business in the Community (BITC) Cares Award for North East Team Leader of the Year. The BITC award recognises employee volunteers who get involved in community activities. Gavin led a team to clear Belmont Allotments in Durham in July 2009. He also helped transform the headquarters of FareShare, a charity responsible for delivering surplus food from the food industry to homeless and vulnerable people in the local community.
