New Marketing Director for Junction

Matthew GledhillMatthew Gledhill has been appointed Marketing Director for Junction - the UK's leading affinity insurance business owned by the BGL Group.

Already a well-respected figure in the industry, Matthew has achieved significant growth for the BGL business over three years at the helm of BGL Group's own-brand business frontline/ which incorporates brands such as BUDGET, and the carbon neutral ibuyeco Insurance.

This new role enables Matthew to focus anew on his passion for marketing. He joined the BGL Group as Marketing Director for the BUDGET brand in 2001, undertaking a highly successful marketing relaunch to generate a major increase in customer numbers. In 2002 he was appointed to the role of Managing Director, Bennetts, and delivered significant growth in its market share and profit contribution. Since taking responsibility for all BGL's own-brands, customer numbers grew by 250 per cent in just three years.

Junction is the largest personal lines affinity insurance broker in the UK and manages more than 1.4 million policies for leading brands such as Post Office®, M&S Money, More Th>n and Auto Trader.

The affinity specialist has recently added HSBC to its portfolio of partners and is in negotiations to provide insurance services for a number of other major brands. Matthew's appointment will pay a key role in Junction's ambitious plans for the future - both in developing the Junction business and supporting the marketing objectives for existing partners.
