New Directors at BGL Group
Immediate release: 29 November 2007
The award-winning BGL Group, one of the UK's largest privately-owned personal lines insurance intermediaries, has appointed two new Directors and two Associate Directors to help deliver its ambitious expansion plans.
Denise Keating has been appointed as Group HR & Communications Director to deliver people and communication strategies that drive business success. Aileen Gillan is the Group's new Corporate Services Director taking responsibility for legal services, risk management, audit and compliance. Su Leggett has been appointed as the Associate Director within Group Product Development with a key focus on product delivery. Lucy Sinfield has been promoted to Associate Director for Contract Management which plays a vital support role in the formalisation of new partnerships for the Group.
Denise Keating has held numerous high profile roles and was most recently HR, IT and Clinical Governance Board Director at Craegmoor Healthcare Ltd, one of the UK’s largest providers of health and social care for adults and young people. Denise was also previously Head of People Proposition and Director of Shared Services at Marks & Spencer and Head of Corporate Personnel at Nationwide Building Society.
Aileen Gillan joins from Royal Bank of Scotland Group where she worked in Risk Management. Her previous experience built on her qualification and practice as a Barrister in Northern Ireland after which she worked for Price Waterhouse Coopers and one of the UK’s leading law firms, DLA. She has worked extensively on the development of new business ventures and products and the legal and risk frameworks to support such initiatives.
Su Leggett has worked in IT at the BGL Group for four years and has built up a reputation for drive and determination. In her current role as Associate Director of IT Support she has already been working closely with Group Product Development to support the needs of our insurers. With a career spanning more than 22 years in IT this is a completely new direction for Su, but a challenge she says she will relish. Su's previous roles include Global IT Manager for the shipping division of Canadian Pacific.
Lucy Sinfield has been a key player in the Contract Management team which has been involved in extensive co-ordination and contractual changes with BGL Group's external partners. Her skills will play a vital role in the Group's ongoing success, as the company develops further external partnerships across its various business units, including Junction and ACM ULR.
