Junction Invests in Growth
Immediate release: 03 April 2008
Gary Elliott has been appointed as the new Director of Sales for Junction, the highly successful affinity insurance division of the BGL Group, which is the UK's largest privately-owned insurance intermediary.
Gary will play a key business development role forging new partnerships in the affinities market, for Junction which already has an impressive portfolio of affinity partners including Marks & Spencer Money Plc, Post Office, Auto Trader and Bradford & Bingley Plc.
In the last three years Junction has more than doubled the number of policies it manages on behalf of its partners. Gary's appointment is another example of Junction's determination to continue to invest in this growth by building a bigger team and bringing new skills into the fast-growing insurance business.
In Gary's case his expertise has been gained from an extensive career in the automotive industry including his recent role as a Director working within The Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF). Prior to this he spent five years at RAC Motoring Services as Head of Brand and Commercial Marketing. Other previous roles include Marketing Director with KIA Motors UK and Marketing and Product Manager at Hyundai Car UK.
Gary said: "I am tremendously excited about my new role with Junction, and am confident that I can make a significant contribution in driving forward its growth strategy. I am relishing the challenge of carving out future partnerships in this fast-paced industry."
Business Development Director Martin Overton said: "Gary has an extensive background in the automotive industry, both with manufacturers in a retail environment and support services. We are looking forward to applying his expertise to our business. This year will undoubtedly see major growth for affinity business. The power of brand has never been stronger, and well-known names from a wide range of sectors are looking either to extend their brands into new sources of revenue or to reinvigorate their existing insurance schemes. Junction's unique growth model works exceptionally well for these partners. Gary will be a real asset in terms of targeting potential clients in all these areas."
