Lambton Street Youth Centre Gets Marathon Makeover

Fusion volunteers have given a marathon makeover to the Lambton Street Youth Centre, revamping the male and female shower and toilet facilities, the steam room and other parts of the busy centre.

A team of 12 volunteers from Fusion Sunderland were involved in the latest project under the Business in the Community Cares programme.

Youth Centre manager Kevin Howard said: "It is absolutely brilliant. The rooms were in desperate need of redecorating. Their efforts have saved us a fortune – it's not so much the cost of the paint, it is the cost of the labour that would have been really expensive, so for them to give up their time for free is fantastic."
