Fusion Donates £260 to The Snowball Appeal

Big-hearted dad chooses a charity close to home

Immediate release: 30 January 2008

Employees at the Fusion Contact Centre in Coventry have donated £260 to The Snowball Appeal run by the Coventry Telegraph.

The money was raised through a donation from employees to confirm their attendance at the Christmas party held at The Merrick Lodge Hotel in Coventry.

There are currently 180 employees at the Coventry Contact Centre at Parkside, Mile Lane Technology Park, which handles calls for the number one motorcycle insurer Bennetts and partner organisations such as Post Office® and Marks & Spencer.

There was a competition on the night to win a Nintendo Wii - Angela Robinson won the top prize and Mick Saunders won the runner-up prize of a bumper hamper of festive goodies and the chance to nominate which charity would receive the £260 proceeds of the party.

Mick (27) is a team leader at Coventry Fusion, where he has worked for seven years. He chose the Coventry Telegraph's local Snowball Appeal which helps underprivileged children.

A proud dad to Mollie (4), Mick said: "I chose the Snowball Appeal because it's a good, local charity which helps children. Snowball is the local charity that I have contributed to since I was a child, so I was more than happy to support it. It's a good cause because it helps children and as a father myself, it's something very close to my heart."
