Press Release

BGL Refocuses Claims Management Arm

Bob Perry to depart ACM; Martin Overton to take the helm

Immediate release: 23 January 2009

The BGL Group today announced the appointment of a new Managing Director to drive the future of its claims management business, ACM ULR.

Martin Overton, currently Business Development Director of BGL's affinity specialist, Junction, will take over from Bob Perry as of 31 January 2009. Bob Perry has been with the Group for 13 years, during which time he developed the Group's claims business for both in-house and external brands, and established ACM as a key profit driver for the BGL Group and its partners.

Whilst the value and quality of service ACM ULR brings to the Group and its partners remains very important, the business plans to bring renewed focus to the external outsourcing potential of ACM's model. The claims management specialist already works with a small number of external insurers. Having driven strong levels of value and customer service for these, it is well placed to work with new partners in the industry. Martin's expertise in business development as well as a successful previous career as a barrister will play a vital role in taking the business to the next level, developing innovative solutions and partnerships to meet the needs of insurers and other participants in our industry.

Chief Executive of the BGL Group, Peter Winslow, said: "I am sad to see Bob leave us after a long and illustrious career with the Group. But we are fortunate that Martin Overton has an enviable track record in new business generation and contract management that will take the ACM ULR business on to new success."

Martin Overton joined the BGL Group in April 2006 as Director of Commercial and Corporate Services, before moving to head up Business Development for Junction in July 2007. He was previously Chief Operating Officer of Servista, a supplier of customer care and billing services. A qualified barrister, Martin has a wealth of experience in business, commercial and proposition development. He began his career at Harveys of Bristol as General Counsel/Assistant Company Secretary and then moved to Eastern Energy (TXU) where he held a number of positions including Company Commercial Lawyer, Head of Group Strategy and subsequently Head of Business Development, before moving into management consultancy with Ernst & Young.
