BGL Group to Consolidate Fusion Contact Centres in North East
Immediate release: 08 September 2009
The BGL Group today confirmed its proposal to consolidate its Fusion contact centre operations in the North East.
As a result, the customer-facing staff based at Fusion’s site in Peterlee will all be offered redeployment to Fusion's site in Sunderland, approximately 15 miles away. Fusion currently employs 179 people in Peterlee and over 290 in Sunderland.
Peterlee staff have now entered a consultation period.
This action allows the Group to rationalise its infrastructure and to safeguard the roles of customer facing employees.
