New Associate Directors for HR take recruitment levels to more than one a day for BGL Group

BGL Group – one of the UK's largest privately-owned insurance intermediaries – has appointed two new Human Resources Associate Directors at its Peterborough Head Office to drive the recruitment and staff development essential to the company's continued expansion.

In the last year alone, BGL has recruited more than 400 new employees, which is more than one a day. More than half of those new recruits (51%) are based at the organisation's Peterborough sites, which include the Head Office in Orton Southgate, Fusion Contact Centre Services in Bretton and Park House IT Headquarters in Lynch Wood.

Recruitment is a core part of Lucy Painter's role as the new Associate Director for HR Shared Services, Rewards and Benefits. Lucy joined BGL as a Recruitment Manager six years ago and has progressed her way up the career ladder to her current position.

As the new Associate Director for HR and Learning and Development, Carol Davies and her team ensure the employee agenda is kept at the forefront of business strategy and that the right specialism and expertise are in place to meet business objectives. Carol, who joined the BGL Group as a Senior HR Manager 12 months ago, also looks after training and development across the Group.
