Top Awards For BGL Group Employees
Immediate release: 01 December 2006
The talents of top performing staff from the BGL Group have been recognised at the Group's annual Awards Ball in Birmingham.
Attended by staff from throughout the Group's UK operations, the Awards Ball was hosted by Group Chief Executive, Peter Winslow, who personally presented the awards to deserving winners.
Commenting on the awards, Peter Winslow said: "The continued commitment and hard work of all our staff plays a crucial role in the phenomenal success and growth of the business. I am delighted that we have this opportunity to celebrate and recognise our people who, throughout the year, have made considerable contributions to the Group."
In Peterborough, three staff took away top awards for customer service, claims handling and outstanding contribution to the Group, beating off stiff competition from over 1500 other employees:
The trio beat off tough competition from nominees across Fusion's contact centres in Coventry, Sunderland and Peterborough, who handle sales and customer service calls for Budget and Dial, Bennetts motorcycle insurance and top high street brands such as Post Office, Bradford & Bingley and Marks & Spencer Money.
- Ursula Gibbs, based at the Group's claims division, ACM ULR, in Bretton, won 'Best ULR Advisor'
- DJ List, an advisor at the Fusion Contact Centre in Bretton, won the award for 'Best Renewals Performance'
- Neville Wright, General Legal Counsel for the Group at their Head Office in Orton Southgate, won the award for 'Outstanding Contribution'
Team awards for exceptional contribution to the business were secured by employees based at the Group’s head office in Orton Southgate:
- The Payroll Department scooped an award for displaying the company's values in their team
- A team of employees from across the Group's support functions achieved 'Best project’ in recognition for a scheme to improve home insurance products for the Group's consumer insurance brands
- The Internet Department won the Award for 'Support Function of the year'
