Coventry Call Centre Staff In Makeover Challenge
Immediate release: 02 June 2007
Employees at the Fusion contact centre in Corporation Street, Coventry, donned their overalls on Saturday, filled their paint pallets and spent the day revamping the library of Limbrick Wood Primary School in Tilehill.
Managers and Advisors from Fusion, a division of the BGL Group, were set the challenge of turning the school library into a Narnia wonderland in just one day. Using funds from the Fusion charity account and decorating materials generously donated by the builders' merchant Jewson, the library walls were decorated with characters from the novel, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Ella Pillai, Head of Site, Fusion Coventry said, "We found out about this scheme through the Care in the Community initiative which we support. Our team of Fusion staff had a great day redecorating the library and it was even more rewarding to see first hand how our money has helped to create a brighter environment for the children. It turned out to be a great teambuilding exercise and they were nicely surprised by their artistic talents."
Fusion Coventry contact centre handles sales and customer service calls primarily for Bennetts motorcycle insurance, which is the UK's number one brand for motorcycle insurance and is the title sponsor of the Bennetts' British Superbike Championship.
Nigel Reed, head teacher, Limbrick Wood Primary School said, "The library has been completely transformed. The Narnia theme was a great idea and hopefully the children will be inspired and even more inclined to visit the school library now. Thank you to the Fusion staff for all their hard work."
