Bennetts Hit By Growth Spurt

Bennetts, the UK’s number one for motorcycle insurance*, has revealed today that despite signs of a slowing market, it continues to buck the trend as the brand has experienced 80% growth since its acquisition in October 2001.
The BGL Group acquired the Bennetts brand, through the purchase of Dial Direct Insurance Intermediary Group, in October 2001 with a filesize of 95,000. Following a successful rebrand in May 2003, Bennetts has a current market share of 20%.
Dominating all distribution channels (TV, Online, Offline) Bennetts is experiencing record sales year on year as new business volumes continue to climb by 35%.
Kal Atwal, Managing Director of Bennetts, comments, “The overall market has softened which makes it harder for us to acquire new business but despite this we have seen our best ever November. We’ve invested heavily in all areas of the business over the last year - marketing, product and operations - to ensure we continue to dominate and maintain our position as the UK’s number one.
"Going forward, the brand will aim to secure at least 30% market share and at the current growth rate we are experiencing, I’m confident we will achieve this earlier than planned."
