Job Title:Claims Team Leader
Location: Pegasus House – Peterborough

This new role will have responsibility for managing a team of claims handlers ensuring excellent file handling management and maximised productivity. Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will liaise with Insurers around Quantum and liability, encourage and maintain procedural approach to claims handling and provide case updates to the Claims Manager as and when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring your team complies with department service standards
  • Regularly liaising with our insurers
  • Workflow management through diary and correspondence
  • Producing and monitoring KPIs
  • Case by case recovery control
  • Ensuring the approach to the role is within the company culture and values
  • Ensuring claims handling is within GTA Protocols
  • Scheduling and management of holidays and sickness

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • Good working knowledge of a claims environment with associated processes and procedures
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task project work streams by pulling together related tasks, managing deadlines and allocating suitable resources
  • Good numeric and literacy skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines without supervision
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to challenge using influencing skills
  • Positive and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Ability to deal with debtors
  • Good understanding of the claims process
