BGL Group Summer Fun Day 2011

More than 4,000 people enjoyed a free family fun day at Wittering Grange near Peterborough. The annual event achieved record breaking attendance figures – with numbers more than double that of last year.

The fun day brought together BGL Group employees from its head office and IT headquarters in Peterborough and Fusion Contact Centres in Bretton and Coventry, together with their families and friends. All employees were invited to bring up to five guests to the action-packed event which included something for every age group. Activities included donkey rides, clairvoyants, children's quad biking, 4x4 off road driving, fairground rides, a pamper tent and clay pigeon shooting as well as a range of food to cater for all tastes.

BGL Group Awards Ball 2011

More than 800 employees from across the BGL Group's five UK sites attended the company's tenth Annual Awards Ball, with a show-stopping 'Out of Africa' theme. The event is the highlight of the company's calendar and involves staff members being presented with 11 awards which reflect the Group's core values. BGL's South Africa trek team, who last year raised £100,000 for charity, were presented with the 'Just be....United' award.

This year's theme saw African dancers, acrobats and singers entertain the revellers. Guests also enjoyed a cocktail reception, three-course dinner, and entertainment from the renowned European Swann Band. The event saw employees raise more that £8,000 for BGL's corporate charity partner, Marie Curie.

Football Fun Day 2010

Employees across all BGL and Fusion sites enjoyed a football-themed fun day in June 2010. The day involved each business area representing a World Cup nation, a 'Beat the Goalie' event, table football tournament and keepy-uppy competition. The catering team put on an outdoor barbecue and employees dressed-down for the day in exchange for a charity donation. The afternoon culminated in the opportunity to watch England play Slovenia as part of the FIFA World Cup.

BGL Group Awards Ball 2010

Almost 800 employees enjoyed a magical night at BGL's ninth Annual Awards Ball in January 2010. Employees from the head office and IT department based in Peterborough, and its Fusion contact centres in Coventry, Peterborough and Sunderland, dressed up in their finery to attend the black tie event at the ICC in Birmingham. This yearly event celebrates employees who have demonstrated the Group's core values and thanks all employees for their dedication and hard work. It is a free event for employees who each make a £10 donation to charity as their RSVP - this money alone raised almost £8,000 for the BGL Group's charity partner, the NSPCC.
